Claude Code for Marketers

Use Claude Code with the tools you already use to build the systems behind your marketing.

Claude Code might be one of the most useful marketing tools that wasn’t built for marketers.

The opportunity isn’t just using Claude to write copy faster. It’s using Claude to build the systems behind your marketing.

This resource breaks down nine practical workflows, the tools you can connect, and how each system could work.

CREATE → DISTRIBUTE → MEASURE → LEARN → CREATE AGAIN

01

Creative Intelligence

Analyse your historical creative to identify which hooks, visuals, copy, formats and other variables correlate with performance, then use those learnings to decide what to test next.

How it could work

Pull campaign and creative performance data from your advertising platforms. Give Claude access to the structured performance data alongside information about each creative.

Claude can then analyse patterns across campaigns, compare creative variables against outcomes and produce hypotheses for the next round of testing.

Example

Export 90 days of Meta ads with creative IDs, hook, format, CTR and CPA. Join landing-page conversions from GA4. Ask Claude which combinations sit in the top-performing quartile — then brief the next test around those patterns, not around last week’s favourite concept.

Process

  1. All ads
  2. Analyse
  3. Find what works
  4. Next test

02

Creative Production Engine

Turn winning creative into new concepts, briefs and on-brand variations ready for another round of testing.

How it could work

Feed performance learnings from existing creative into Claude. Ask it to identify why a concept may have worked and generate new hypotheses rather than simply making superficial copies.

Turn those hypotheses into structured creative briefs and use Figma or other creative tools to produce variations.

Example

Take a winning Meta concept and ask Claude to explain the likely mechanism — tension, proof, specificity — then generate six adjacent hypotheses. Produce Figma briefs for the strongest three, each with copy, layout notes and a defined test variable.

Process

  1. Winning concept
  2. Generate ideas
  3. Create variations
  4. Test

03

Campaign Builder

Turn a campaign objective into strategy, messaging, creative concepts, briefs and a channel plan.

How it could work

Provide Claude with the campaign objective, audience, brand context, historical campaign performance and relevant research.

Use this context to develop positioning, messaging architecture, campaign territories and production briefs. Store the resulting campaign system somewhere the wider team can work with it.

Example

Give Claude a launch objective, ICP notes, last quarter’s results and the brand positioning. Ask for a messaging architecture, three campaign territories, production briefs and a channel plan — then drop the whole system into Notion so strategy, design and media can work from the same source.

Process

  1. Objective
  2. Strategy
  3. Creative briefs
  4. Channel plan

04

Lifecycle Marketing Engine

Analyse customer behaviour, identify useful segments and build lifecycle campaigns around what people actually do.

How it could work

Connect behavioural and CRM data so Claude can identify meaningful customer patterns. Use those patterns to propose segments, lifecycle journeys, triggers and messaging.

Feed campaign results back into the system to improve future journeys.

Example

Ask Claude to look at HubSpot lifecycle stage, Klaviyo engagement and PostHog activation events. Have it propose two or three segments with a trigger, a first message and a success metric — then review every live send before it goes out.

Process

  1. Behaviour
  2. Segment
  3. Journey
  4. Measure

Content Engine

Turn one strong idea into articles, LinkedIn posts, newsletters, carousels and video scripts without losing the original thinking.

How it could work

Start with a source idea, transcript, essay or piece of research. Use Claude to research and develop the idea before adapting it for different formats.

Store source material and previous content so the system can maintain context and avoid simply generating disconnected posts.

Example

Drop a research note or talk transcript into the content library. Ask Claude to develop the argument first, then adapt it into a long-form piece, a LinkedIn post, a newsletter and a carousel brief in Figma — each pointing back to the same source, not a new invention.

Process

  1. One idea
  2. Research
  3. Repurpose
  4. Distribute

06

Brand Guardian

Give Claude your brand system and review copy, campaigns and creative for inconsistencies before they go live.

How it could work

Make brand guidelines, tone of voice, terminology, positioning, design principles and approved examples available as context. Claude can then review new work against those rules, flag potential inconsistencies and explain why something does or does not fit the brand.

The system should assist human creative judgement rather than attempt to replace it.

Example

Keep the brand book, tone of voice and approved examples in Drive, with current campaign files in Figma. Before anything ships, ask Claude to review against those sources and return specific flags — wording, claims, visual drift — for a human to accept or reject.

Process

  1. Brand system
  2. Review
  3. Flag
  4. Fix

SEO + AI Visibility

Find search opportunities, improve content and monitor performance across traditional search and AI discovery.

How it could work

Combine search performance, keyword research and existing website content. Use Claude to identify gaps, clusters and pages that deserve improvement.

Generate briefs or structured improvements, monitor the resulting performance and feed those learnings back into future decisions. Avoid positioning this as mass-producing low-quality AI pages.

Example

Pull query and page data from Search Console, add Ahrefs keyword and competitor context, and ask Claude which existing pages deserve improvement versus which topics need a new brief. Optimise the strongest pages first. Do not use this workflow to flood the site with thin content.

Process

  1. Discover
  2. Create / optimise
  3. Monitor
  4. Learn

08

Growth Analyst

Connect acquisition, product and CRM data and ask questions such as: “Why did performance drop this week?”

How it could work

Bring data from multiple parts of the customer journey into an environment Claude can query. Rather than looking at dashboards independently, Claude can investigate changes across acquisition, onsite behaviour, product usage and CRM outcomes and develop explanations for what may have caused performance to move.

The system should distinguish between correlation and proven causation.

Example

When pipeline dips, ask Claude to look at GA4 acquisition, PostHog activation and HubSpot stage movement for the same window. Require it to separate what moved, what is correlated, and what would actually need to be true before you treat a cause as proven.

Process

  1. Connect data
  2. Investigate
  3. Explain
  4. Recommend

09

Marketing Memory

Keep a record of every marketing experiment so previous results continuously inform what you test next.

How it could work

Create a structured record for every experiment containing the hypothesis, variables, audience, creative, dates, results and interpretation.

Claude can query this historical record before a new campaign or experiment is designed. Instead of asking “What should we test?”, the team can ask “What have we already learned about this?” Over time, this becomes an institutional memory for the marketing organisation.

Example

Log every test in Notion with hypothesis, variable, audience, dates, result and interpretation. Before the next campaign, ask Claude what the team has already learned about that audience, offer or format — including the tests that failed.

Process

  1. Experiment
  2. Result
  3. Learn
  4. Next test

The bigger shift

The interesting part isn’t any individual workflow.

It’s what happens when they start connecting.

Creative performance informs the next brief. Customer behaviour informs lifecycle campaigns. Search data informs content. Experiments become organisational memory. The output of one system becomes context for the next.

CREATE → DISTRIBUTE → MEASURE → LEARN → CREATE AGAIN

Claude becomes a connective layer between tools that previously lived in separate parts of the marketing stack.

Marketers aren’t just getting better tools. They’re gaining the ability to build their own marketing infrastructure.
