Challenge
Keakie needed to stream long DJ sets reliably, help listeners discover music they would not find on their own, and give DJs the tools to publish and understand their audience.
Approach
Satellite Labs built the streaming pipeline and player, a recommendation engine that combines reinforcement learning with evolutionary algorithms to adapt to each listener, and a creator backend for uploads, publishing and analytics.
Results
- Grew to 150k monthly active users
- Recommendations that adapt to each listener as they listen
- DJs upload, publish and track the performance of their sets in one place
